    By the way, About the name of author 墨香铜臭, the word of ”臭” is pronounced xiù, not chòu when It means odor. The author has stressed it several times on her weibo. I hope this will be of some help.

    This novel have 248 chapter, are you planning to finish translating this 20 years later?

      Hello there!
      There are many reasons why I’m currently not accepting new translators to my site, but it does boil down to it being not viable for my translating style and writing style. I translate by audio, so tlc’ing a chapter would take the same time as translating it myself. In addition, the person below wasn’t the translator themselves, and the translator they’ve spoke of never contacted me personally. It was quite dubious and I was wary to accept — had a translator really been interested, they would have contacted me themselves.
      I’m terribly sorry for my speed right now, but I do hope to finish the novel sooner than 20 years, and preferably before the anime comes out next year. ^^;;

            this novel is 244 chapters long…
            I am really grateful that someone is translating it, and it’s not like you owe us anything, but… since the release frequency is one chapter per month, it really means that it will take more or less 20 years… I’m frankly a bit concerned

            Frequency should be one update a week if nothing comes up — the reason we’re missing this week’s update is because its a super long chapter (2x the normal chapter length) and everyone on twitter insisted they wanted to wait longer to get the full chapter instead of a split –> https://twitter.com/sakhyulations/status/1060370836165554176 + my tlc/editor is going on vacation this week and couldn’t finish before their flight! I’m actually more than halfway through translating chapter 13 right now ^^;. Definitely hoping to finish most of the novel before the anime begins, so I’ll probably start a translating spree during winter break. Thanks for bringing up your worries!

          Yeah, like Founder of Diabolism/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation which was the author’s second work and The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System (first work), HB has been signed for a whopping 6.6 million USD to be made into dramas, animes, manhuas, etc! I believe next year either the HB anime will come out or the scum villain one would, or both. 🙂

    I haven’t read the entire thing yet so I don’t know, but I think the answer is no. And if they do, it probably won’t be until much much later, since it’s 1. slow burn, and 2. there are so many chapters TwT.

    I love the author’s incredible novels! Founder of Diabolism, Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System, they’re all so intricate and well-developed. Unlike some other novels that just keep adding stuff and there doesn’t seem to be any consistency at all. You can tell the author carefully contructs the background, the plot, and the characters with painstaking love and care.I really admire her writing skills, especially because along with BL elements, there’s an entire world developed around the characters. Like she doesn’t neglect other stuff just so they can get together. I’m glad for all the translators who translate her novels because she’s serious about writing a good book so it just shines through the translated English.Thanks for translating!     I just happened to stumble upon this wonderful piece. Thank you so much for taking your time to translate this into a language that I and a lot of other people understand. Chinese is marvelous but i never had it in me to learn it, like most of the folks out there. I really appreciate people who did though. So thank you, so very much.
