I’m not sure if everyone saw my updates on my twitter, but I had to take a hiatus last week because I was feeling a bit sick. I promised to try and do a double update this weekend, but I’m one chapter short. Sorry…apparently translating 15k characters in 2-3 days is my limit hahaha… 😥

Actually, I was planning on doing the last chapter of Former Sweetheart today, but I ended up being informed halfway through that I!!! Finally got offered a position by a professor in their lab!!! Which means I’ll officially be a graduate student in September, hell ya! 🎉 Been interviewing non-stop since May, I’m really so relieved that I’m finally done with this lol! But because of this, I had to work out some logistics with my department today instead of translating. 😭

I’ll make it up to you guys and do the double update for Former Sweetheart this weekend instead!!! 🙏🙏🙏

Anyway, thank you to everyone who left comments last last week, and to the two lovely Somebody’s for buying me all that coffee ! I really appreciate all of you so much, you guys were my only motivation as I cranked out these chapters like a typewriter after I felt better lol!!

Also thanks for all the comments last week—I know I sometimes don’t reply but believe me when I say that a single comment really makes me day haha. The moment I see one, it immediately motivates me to go and translate a few thousand words! 😤 (That’s probably why I end up not replying lol)

This week’s chapters are all quite interesting. Chu Binghuan finally kicks some butt after Hua Che’s face slapping, while we get to know the hilarious matchmaking in Ghost Bridegroom!

He Huan, why are you trying to match the two main leads?! Qianren, why are you throwing your lover to Former Sweetheart’s ML?! What a close call!

I hope people don’t mind, but I split the Former Sweetheart chapter into two this time because it’s approximately 2x longer than normal. Hopefully, I’ll have the second half up as soon as possible!

That being said I wanted to give special thanks to bigtoblerone who wrote a huge review for Ghost Bridegroom on NU! Not sure if you’ll see this, but I’m really grateful for your kind words!

Also, I don’t know if everyone already realized this, but Ghost Bridegroom and Former Sweetheart are actually by the same author. To be more precise, they’re set in the same universe, and Former Sweetheart is actually the indirect sequel to Ghost Bridegroom. Fu Hongye, who’s adventure will be ending soon in Ghost Bridegroom, actually stars as the main lead in Former Sweetheart.

Meanwhile, Fake Demon Lord is the indirect prequel to both of these novels, if anyone was interested in Bi Qianren’s Master He Huan! It’s currently being translated by THISBRO, who is a fabulous translator on Dummy Novels!

Look, I’m not that late, it’s still Sunday in Hawaii…╭(°A°`)╮

I would have gotten these chapters up sooner but I had a headache at the start of the week and kept putting off translating since I didn’t want to work while my head hurt lol. That went on until yesterday night, and then I gave up waiting, took some Advil and then pumped out 10k charas of translation all within the last 30 hours…not recommended. 😂

Phew, finally got these chapters done. Got a bit side-tracked this week because I received news that I was accepted to graduate school, hehe! Ended up spending a lot of time researching potential supervisors. My first interview is actually tomorrow, wish me luck!
